This current field season is underway. Living site preperation began in October. Our living quarters arrived in early November and we began fieldwork a few days later.
Because of publication by the New Mexico Historial Review of the presumed discovery of Chichilticale, enhanced security has been implemented. There is permanent occupation of the site, as well as surveillance cameras positioned to reveal any meddlers.
The program will proceed this season according to the current Research Design. Three specific prospects have been designated for exploration by the team headed by geologist Nugent Brasher. Archaeological work will continue under the direction of archaeologist Deni Seymour.
Findings of this season will be included in the piece to be published by the New Mexico Historical Review in Fall 2008 or Winter 2009.
