Our team devoted its summer 2007 efforts to the exploration of what we consider to have been the camp of the Advance Party of Captain General Francisco Vázquez de Coronado on the night of 2 July 1540, and the camp of the Following Army on the night of 4 October 1540, and the camp of the Retreating Army on the night of 8 April 1542.
We found two metal artifacts that point to the Coronado Expedition.
Publication of our findings will be through the New Mexico Historical Review, possibly in late 2008 or early 2009, but probably later because we plan to continue exploration of the site during the summer of 2008.
